Buy and activate your license

Before you start

• Kade installed and your business created (the earlier lessons).
• You are signed in as the Owner. Only the owner can activate a license.
• The email address you will use to pay, so the license key reaches you.

Step by step

1. Buy the license

On kadeonline.com, open the Buy page. Type your Business name under the license and press Buy. The license is a one-time payment: a lifetime license for up to 10 PCs, with your first year of support and customisation included. You pay through PayPal, by PayPal account or by debit or credit card. Nothing renews by itself.

2. Find the key in your email

Within a few minutes, an email titled Your Kade license key arrives at your PayPal email address. It shows your License key, License ID, who it is licensed to, how many PCs are included and the date support and updates are included until. Keep this email: you'll need the key again later. Nothing after 30 minutes? Check your spam folder, then write to us.

3. Open the License screen

In Kade, go to Administration › License. It shows the Edition, the Status (for example Trial), your Business ID, the Devices used and Updates included until.

4. Enter the key

Press Enter license key, type the key from the email and press Activate. Kade activates online, and the status changes to Licensed. Do this on any one PC: your other PCs pick the license up automatically.

5. No internet? Kade waits

If the PC is offline, Kade keeps the key and says No internet: the key is queued and activates when this PC is online. You don't need to type it again.

6. Activate by file

For a PC that never goes online, reply to the key email with the Business ID shown on the License screen. Press Copy next to it to copy it exactly. We send you a license file. Copy it to the PC, press Load license file and choose it.

7. Activate by phone code

Press Activate by phone code. Kade shows a code: read it to Kade support or send it by SMS. Then type the code you receive, group by group. A tick shows each group is typed correctly. Press Activate.

Good to know

• The license belongs to your business, not to one PC. Each active PC counts towards the PCs included. If Kade says The license allows no more devices. Revoke a PC first., revoke a PC you no longer use in Administration › Devices & network.
• You can replace PCs yourself up to your licensed PC count within any rolling 12 months. After that, Kade says to contact support for a license re-issue.
• When you extend support, type the same key again in Enter license key to bring the new date into Kade.
• A license key works for one business. If another business already uses it, Kade says This license key is already in use. Contact support.

Try it yourself

1. Open Administration › License and find your Business ID.
2. Press Copy and paste it into a note, so you have it if you ever need a license file.
3. If you have bought Kade, press Enter license key, type your key and press Activate.

Recap

Buy once on kadeonline.com, and your key arrives by email. Enter it in Administration › License on any one PC, and the rest follow. Without internet, the key waits, or you can activate with a license file or a phone code.
