Before you start

  • You are an owner or manager. A cashier sees only their own sales today.
  • Kade has a few weeks of sales to report on.

Step by step

1. The month at a glance

Open Reports from Home. The overview compares this month's sales with the same days last month, with your gross margin, best seller and slowest category.

2. Top items

Below, Top items this month lists what sold best. The quick actions open the reports you'll use most.

3. Sales by day

Open Sales by day. Pick a period with the chips at the top, and the table shows each day's sales, split by payment method.

4. The chart

A chart sits above the table: bars for sales, and a line for the number of bills. Hide chart when you only want the figures.

5. Drill into a day

Double-click a day to drill into that day's sales summary. The breadcrumb shows where you came from.

6. Back again

Press Backspace to go back. Your period and filters are just as you left them.

7. Find any report

All reports lists every report by area: sales, profit, stock, customers and suppliers, staff, and tax. Search to find one fast.

8. Debtors and creditors

Debtors & creditors ageing shows who owes you and whom you owe, by age. Choose Debtors to see only your customers.

9. Take it with you

Every report can go to Excel, or be printed, from the buttons at the top.

Good to know

  • Ageing here splits balances into 0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 90+ days by document date. The Customers screen ages by due date unless set otherwise, so its buckets can differ.
  • A row in the ageing report opens that customer's or supplier's ledger.
  • Click a column header to sort by it. Export… also offers CSV and PDF, in portrait or landscape.
  • The Tax group in All reports appears only when your business is registered for tax.

Try it yourself

  1. Open Reports and read this month's sales against last month.
  2. Open Sales by day, choose This month, double-click your busiest day, then press Backspace.
  3. In All reports, search for "ageing" and open Debtors & creditors ageing.

Recap

The overview gives you the month at a glance. Every report works the same way: pick a period, drill in with a double-click, go back with Backspace, and take it to Excel or print.
