Before you start
- A Windows 10 or 11 PC (64-bit) with at least 4 GB of RAM and a screen of 1366×768 or larger.
- An email address, so we can send you the download link.
- A receipt printer, barcode scanner and cash drawer are optional. You can add them later.
Step by step
1. Go to the download page
Open kadeonline.com in your web browser and choose Download. The page shows the current version of Kade. Everything you need to start is free: the full trial needs no card.
2. Tell us who you are
Fill in Your name and Email. Business name, Country and Phone or WhatsApp are optional. Tick Email me when a new version is out if you'd like to hear about new versions. We keep these details to help you with setup, and we don't share them.
3. Download the installer
Press Download for Windows. The setup file downloads to your PC, and we email you the download link too. If the download didn't finish, the link in the email starts it again.
4. Run the installer
Open the setup file from your downloads and follow the steps. The installer doesn't need admin rights: Kade installs for your own Windows user. You can tick the option to create a desktop icon. At the end, leave the option ticked to launch Kade straight away.
5. Kade opens the setup wizard
The first time Kade opens on a PC, it starts the setup wizard. Choose Create a new business for your first PC, or Join an existing business to add a PC to a shop that is already set up. The next lesson walks you through creating your business.
6. Your free trial starts
Your trial runs for 90 days with every feature. Administration › License shows the status Trial and how many days are left. Buy the license at any time to carry on after the trial.
Good to know
- Kade works fully offline. The internet is only used for optional things such as updates and cloud backups.
- Your business data is kept apart from the program. Installing a new version or uninstalling Kade never touches it.
- When the trial ends, your data is never locked: Kade becomes read-only, and you can still view everything, run reports, export your data and back it up.
- The license covers up to 10 PCs, so install Kade on each till and office PC you need.
Try it yourself
- Check your PC against the system requirements above.
- Download Kade from kadeonline.com and run the installer.
- Let Kade open, and stop at the setup wizard's first screen. You'll carry on in the next lesson.
